Ladybird Bridal Designs is a business that my mother and I decided to start together after a long, stressful and frustrating search for the look I wanted on my wedding day. I didn’t really want to wear a traditional veil, but there were little other options in stores. I was not willing to settle for something that didn’t suit me on the most memorable (and most photographed) day of my life, so because of the creative nature of my family, my mother and I were able to design and make a birdcage veil that could not be bought. I thought that if I was having this type of trouble, then there must be other brides with the same dissatisfaction in bridal accessory selection. With the many years of small business experience my mother has, starting a company that could give women more options for their bridal outfit seemed only natural.
Our goal in this partnership is to provide a service for brides that want something special and unique for their wedding day, their memories of it and of course, the photo album. Because of the goals we have as a business, rest assured that when you purchase something from us it will be because you want to. When I went out on my search to find the perfect jewelry for my special day, I met up with a very good sales lady, so good in fact that she was able to tell me what I wanted without me telling her anything. When I tried the jewelry on again later at home, I didn’t really like it at all. This is something that brides should not be subjected to. We are not pressure sales women. We are artists and creators with an alternative to mass produced convention.
